Nelson Moore

A native of Tennessee, Nelson graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2014 where he earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Saxophone Performance. His experience with instrument repair began during his high school years with a deep curiosity for what made instruments work. In 2011, after several years of self-guided education, Nelson began his career in instrument repair at MTSU as the repair technician for the School of Music, a position he held until 2018. In 2014, Nelson opened Moore Music Repair in Murfreesboro, TN and serviced instruments from music stores and the general public in the greater Nashville area. In 2019, Nelson made the move to Kansas City to serve as Woodwind Specialist and Repair Shop Manager for BAC Musical Instruments and Rent My Instrument.

In addition to his experience with repair, Nelson has always had a passion for education. Throughout his musical career, Nelson has maintained a private studio of students of all ages and experience levels. Nelson has presented or performed at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians, North American Saxophone Alliance, Navy Band Saxophone Symposium, as well as performances at many collegiate conferences across the southeast.

Eric Rempe

Born and raised in Nebraska, Eric graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2013 with a Bachelor's in Music with an Emphasis on Business. During his undergrad, Eric had a rewarding internship with the legendary Jeff Stelling of Stelling Brass and Winds to officially kick off his journey in Instrumental Repair. Later he attended the Instrumental Repair Program at Minnesota State Southeast in Red Wing, Minnesota, graduating in 2016.

Eric then moved to Kansas City, Missouri after accepting the Brass Repair Specialist position at BAC and Rent My Instrument in May of 2016, quickly becoming the Head Brass Technician. Over the last 8 years he's serviced horns for local and nationwide customers of all skill levels, as well as many school districts and universities across the Midwest.

Performing and education has also been a passion of Eric over his music career. He has assisted with many Repair Clinics in the Midwest As a Bass Trombonist, he's had the opportunity to play across many venues in the United States, including ITF at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and ITEC in Arizona, as well as touring across the Midwest as a part of various ensembles while he was in college. His musical journey in KC has included playing with numerous community ensembles, cofounding a local Brass Band, and teaching Trombone lessons over the years.

Dirk colgrove

Born and raised in Husker Country, Dirk graduated from Doane University in 1991 where he earned a Bachelors in Music Education, Certified K-12 Band & Choir and a Minor in Voice Performance. He spent the next 19 years directing successful Band and Choir programs at Nemaha Valley Schools in Seneca, KS. In 2009, Dirk married Yvonne, the love of his life, and together they are parents to five children. After the 2009-10 school year, Dirk left Seneca and moved to De Soto, KS. There he continued to sub for band and choir directors in the metro area and work as an education representative. From 2013-2024 he taught 5-8 band at St. Joseph Catholic School in Shawnee, KS and also worked full time at BAC/RentMyInstrument. Dirk’s passion for education and his relationships with other educators were invaluable during his 12 years as an Education Representative for local music stores. Dirk has held many roles in the music business. He spent 2 years as the General Manager of BAC Music Center in Overland Park and from 2021-2024 served as Project Manager with Rent My Instrument.
